This is a photo of Michael Head which was taken by a guy called Mick Parker who went to Liverpool for a few days in 1982 to try to catch up with some of these groups he loved, and he got to see the Pale Fountains at Plato's ballroom and hung out with Pete Wylie in the studio. He at least sent me some snaps which I've treasured ever since.
Anyway, this morning when it looked very grey outside I stumbled across this YouTube clip of Michael Head and brother John being interviewed about the release of Shack's Zilch LP, and the videos for Emergency and High Rise Low Life are shown. Suddenly the sun shines here ...
If curiosity gets the better of you and you read this comment then you'll realise I forgot to mention the clips of the Pale Fountains on the Old Grey Whistle Test. "And I just want to be free ..."
